Description [ ]
Jungles are very forested, rivaling the night forests in tree density. Many of the grass blocks take grass and ferns. Single shoots of bamboo may generate on the flooring as well. Jungle trees can grow tall and are the tallest copse in the game, with the tallest of them being over 30 blocks in height. Large and "balloon" oak trees may also abound within the tall jungle trees. Jungle bushes made of oak leaves[ Java Edition simply ] [one] or jungle leaves[ Boulder Edition simply ] and a single log abound on the floor of the jungle, which ofttimes obstruct view of the low-cal-green grass below. Many of the leaves and logs of both types are covered in vines. Jungles contain varying terrain, from the typical dense leafage of the main jungle biomes to the grassy meadows that form in thin jungle biomes.
Cocoa pods and melons generate on jungle logs and in patches on the ground, respectively. Melon patches generate somewhat more oft than pumpkin patches do in other biomes.
Parrots, ocelots and pandas exclusively spawn in jungle biomes.
A jungle pyramid may generate inside the foliage. As these temples are partially made of mossy asphalt and too covered in vines, they can testify hard to spot from a distance due to the density of the trees. Jungles can generate in most terrain types, from flat areas virtually sea level to elevated slopes below stony peaks.
Survival in jungles tin can be difficult. While running out of logs is unlikely, obtaining logs tin can nowadays a challenge due to the heights of jungle trees. Jungle trees are significantly less sustainable compared to other trees, as their leaves drop saplings only 2.5% of the time, compared to 5% for all other trees; this means large jungle trees often drop only enough saplings to regrow them and not plant any new trees, while modest jungle trees may not fifty-fifty drop a single sapling. The dense, leafage tin hands get a player lost without some sort of trail mark, such as torches, and clearing this maze-like foliage for shelter is no easy task, due to both the heights it can attain and the sheer amount of it. Still, parrots can make for useful pets when tamed; ocelots cannot be tamed, but can gain trust. They can repel creepers, while parrots can alert players of nearby monsters. Cocoa beans and melons can also exist farmed for dye, food, trading and decoration.
Jungle biomes are significantly more resource-enervating to load and render compared to other biomes. Thus, players exploring in jungles may wish to turn down their graphics settings to avert lag and FPS drops.[two]The frequency of large jungle trees generated in Boulder Edition is lower than in Java Edition.
In jungles, cod and salmon are the simply fish which may exist caught during line-fishing in Bedrock Edition. Otherwise, bamboo and cocoa beans can also be collected.
Variants [ ]
There are three jungle biome variants: jungle, sparse jungle and bamboo jungle. At that place are 4 removed variants: jungle hills, modified jungle, modified jungle edge and bamboo jungle hills in previous versions.
Jungle [ ]
The standard biome variant feature ferns, the distinctive big jungle copse and dense leafage across the ground. Jungle pyramids may generate in this biome, and ocelots, parrots and pandas may spawn here.

Thin Jungle [ ]
The thin jungle or jungle edge biome is a sparser variation of the jungle. Trees generate hither, though at significantly lower rates than the chief jungle, roughly comparable to the rate of trees in the savanna biome, additionally only small jungle trees generate in this biome. The grass still takes on a bright green color, though slightly less vibrant than the primary jungle. Ocelots, parrots and pandas may spawn in this biome[ Bedrock Edition simply ], and chickens spawn here more often than in other jungle variants[ Java Edition but ]. Jungle pyramids do non generate here.[three]
In Coffee Edition, Thin jungles use the same mob spawning chances as jungles for ambient categories. As for the others:

Bamboo Jungle [ ]
"Bamboo Jungle" redirects here. For the constitute, see Bamboo.
The bamboo jungle generates in big patches within regular jungles. Trees are much less dense in this variant than in the main jungle, comparable to the sparse jungle, but boasts countless amounts of bamboo across its landscape. Some swaths of grass blocks are replaced with podzol, similarly to sometime growth taigas. Naturally-generated trees are large variants; just ii×two jungle trees and large, branching oak trees may generate, though many of the oaks are simply small "balloon" oaks. Copse planted and grown by the player tin can be whatever size. All jungle-exclusive mobs spawn hither. Pandas have a higher spawn charge per unit in bamboo jungle than in regular jungle. Jungle pyramids may spawn here in Coffee Edition, whereas there are no jungle pyramids in Bedrock Edition.
